til vacation!!! and i’m so fuckin’ ready, you have no idea!

cassidy was in the show at cowpokes in new orleans on friday night. it was a benefit show for brittney o’bryan, who is on her way to miss gay america. it was a fun show… i won a bottle of champagne and two glasses, and an lsu cap in the raffle. got home about 2am. not too bad…

the bf worked half day saturday. went to the slu football game, well, at least the first half. then we left so we could watch the second half of the lsu game on tv. slu won 38-35, and the tigers won 34-24. wtf?? how did they let the bulldogs score 24 points?! the better tighten the fuck up if they intend to stay undefeated after the next game.

slept sorta late sunday, then went to pride to josh’s grand opening tupperware party. stopped by his house so the bf could show him how to enter his tupperware orders online. drove through starbucks for frappucinos. went to bed at midnight!

and back to work today… the weekend in a nutshell.

today would have been my granny’s 85th birthday. she’s been gone almost 8 years, but i still miss her so much sometimes, that it feels like she just left us. little things remind me of her… a drive out towards her house, a song on the radio, a scent or a sound.

i wish i had one more day with you just to let you know how much you meant to me, and what an influence you had on my life.

damn i love it!!!!

the sports writers across the country (california??) had all but crowned the trojans national champions. hmmm, a funny thing happened on the way to miami!! they can’t even beat one of the worst teams in their own conference; how the hell are they supposed to beat a team from a real football conference?! i’ve hated the trojans with a vengeance for years, and it’s only grown even more in recent years.

maybe becuase lsu had to “share” a “split national championship” with them in ‘04. I think that’d made a lot of die-hard tigers fans really dislike usc.

and that’s another reason for me to rejoice when the “mighty” fall so hard!

we have a tupperware party tonight, and another one sunday. had one tuesday night with a celebrity in attendance- margaret (marguerite) perrin from trading souses. she’s actually gonna host a tupperware party soon. today is a sad day for her. one year ago today her 25y/o daughter was killed in a traffic accident. she still looked so sad when i saw her.

i’m ready for vacation… 7 days and counting!

didn’t the entire population on earth know this already?!!! I mean, come on!!!

a new feature for tuesdays- for your viewing pleasure!

i don’t watch very much tv, just hit and miss here and there, but this new show on tnt is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows. last night, after dozing through most of dancing with the stars (yawn…), i was just about to go to bed at 9, when i realized it was coming on.

steven bocho has another winner with this story of public defenders, led by Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who ironically, isn’t my favorite character on the show. not sure exactly who that is just yet, but i know it’s not his character.

RAISING THE BAR not only looks at courtroom battles but also the relationships among people on different sides. i think that’s what i find so intriguing about this show, not the courtroom drama.

stay tuned, i think we have a winner.

the bf and i went back to professional weight loss. with all the craziness of miss gay louisiana in august, plus the hurricanes, we had gotten off our healthy eating program and daily work-outs (and adipex!). it has been almost 2 months, and he had gained back 4 pounds, and i had gained back 7.5 pounds. not nearly as bad as i feared considering everything! but, we’re back on the bandwagon, so look for weekly updates. i’m at 258 and dropping!
