… it’s friday!

although, after the weekend that is planned out, i will be happy to come back to work on monday to rest! tonight is the miss gay splash pageant in baton rouge. tomorrow is the blues and barbeque festival in hammond, tomorrow night is the krewe’s mardi gras banquet in new orleans and sunday is the irish-italian parade in metairie!!

dunno how much of that i will actually make it to, though.

so, it being pageant season again, cassidy has made another miraculous recovery from near death, and decided she wants to compete for the miss gay louisiana title again. for those of you who don’t know, cassidy is the bf’s alter ego. or, should i say ego?

anyways, i don’t care one way or the other. i have been with him for 7 1/2 years. i was with him when cassidy didn’t perform, then when she retired and returned… several times. i don’t care. if it makes him happy to do drag, then i support him.

anyways, the new evening gown arrived from thailand monday, custom made. and 3 inches too short! luckily for us, the way it was made, it was very simple to cut the organza ruffle bottom loose from the overlapping sequined top, add a 3 inch strip, then sew it back together. voila! the day was saved, the gown touches the floor.

the pageant, miss gay splash, will be held tomorrow night as a prelim to miss gay louisiana america. there are at least 3 confirmed contestants, and should be a great competition. we’ll see which girl comes out on top. i’ll be taking pictures (and watching the hot college bois) while the queens sweat backstage!

especially when you stayed out til 2am (after being out til 6am saturday morning)… basically, i’m just living on rockstars today. but it was worth it!

yesterday, the bf and i went to independence to the truxillo crawfish boil (then his parent’s for barbeque), then to new orleans to the quarter. went to lafittes and good friends, then settled in at the pub for the night. dominique delorean was in from shreveport for the show, and along with savanna delorean, tiffany alexander and raquel chevallier, rocked the house. or, maybe it was because of all the beer i drank or a combination of the two, but we had a blast!! it was fun seeing dominique, who we hadn’t seen since last august, but also chris, raquel’s hubbie who doesn’t come out much anymore because of his job. he sat with us… very nice to visit with him as well.

after the show, we went and ate at clover grill, made the rounds to the bars. went back to the pub for a while.

so, no wonder i need rockstars to survive today!

we went to new orleans last night with elizabeth and becky, two of the bf’s clients/friends… had a blast! got home at 6:00 this morning! i lost about 200 bucks, but won 100 of it back before we left playing flop poker. the bf broke even, but the girls left 1500 up. damn, but i’m tired now… just gotta outta bed, even though i was still sleepy. don’t wanna sleep my w/e away.

albany got a 24-hr gym on january 11th when anytime fitness opened. the bf and i signed a one year contract even before it opened. we’ve been twice, before last night. but we’ve been eating healthy the last few weeks, and we went and worked out last night. i am going to do my damnedest to keep going, at least 3 or 4 times a week, and get my body into shape! i thought with a gym being a few blocks from home, and being open all the time would be enough motivation for me to go. guess i’ll have to keep looking at the hotties on manhunt (and in the gym) to keep me on track.
